Working of Miracles, Wonder Working Faith
We are encouraged by our Lord Jesus Christ to embrace and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and to walk in the power of the Father. He said that the Father that dwells in Him was the source of the miraculous works that manifested in His ministry (see John 14:10). He then instructed the disciples, the body of believers to wait for the promise of the Father in Jerusalem and that they (we) would receive power after the Holy Spirit came upon them (see Acts 1:4-10). These were the instructions given to the church. Our commission is the same. This is our charge.
The nine gifts of the Spirit are the manifestations of the power of God in the lives of Spirit-filled believers. This week on the broadcast we are studying the gifts of healing, the working of miracles and the gift of faith. We are also looking at these gifts as they operated in the ministry of our Lord.
Smith Wigglesworth said, “The gift of divine healing is more than audacity, it is more than an unction. Those are two big things; however, the gift of healing is the solid fact of a divine nature within the person pressing forward the very nature and act of the Lord, as if He were there. We are in this place to glorify the Father, and the Father will be glorified in the Son since we are not afraid of taking action in this day.”
Jesus said that if we believed on Him, the works that He did, we would do and even greater works would we do. Are you bold enough to believe Him? Are you willing to be totally submitted to Him? Would you believe God, our Father, to use you to heal the sick?
The answers are found in His Word. The lack of the knowledge of His Word is directly proportional to the lack of evidence of His power in our lives.
